Great in theory, but in practice it takes time and corners get cut. So risk creeps in to the sale.

Whilst all sales processes follow the same basic flow of attracting the customers attention, building interest, developing emotional desire and encouraging decision, there is still a lot of room for many smaller sub-steps and techniques. Herein lies the challenge. How does a corporation knit together their own methods and those sourced from 3rd parties in to a coherent and consistent flow?

Dashboards

It’s hard to tell sometimes just who CRM systems have been designed for. Without a lot of configuration and development they can be hard to navigate. This creates barriers and adds a lot of cost.

MySalesApp has been designed to get it’s wide variety of users to the data they want – very quickly. Since MySalesApp is not a replacement for a CRM system it has none of the CRM systems overhead and complexity. At the core of MySalesApp is the sales opportunity and the execution activities needed to close the deal. So tasks, notes, blogs, marketing materials, news, analysis, questions, checklists, etc. are all no more than a few quick button presses away.

Since different types of user have different needs, we have created optimized solutions for them. We have dashboards for Sales, Sales Managers, Marketing Managers and others. All designed to give them the insight they need, just when they need them, and fast.

Collaboration

What’s wrong with texts and emails? On a one-off basis, very little. But traditional methods are not designed for easy record keeping and context retention. It can be time consuming making sure everyone gets the information they need. And when new people join a collaborative group, it can be hard to appraise them of all the dialog that has gone before. When a sales campaign stretches in to weeks, months, sometimes years, how easy is to go back and review the thoughts, ideas, information that has been shared earlier?

With MySalesApp, we have built a simple to use collaboration tool. Designed around the opportunity being worked. Team members can share information with everyone on the team, instantly. The record of who said what and when remains for later review. New team members join – no problem, they get all the prior communications. But it goes further. The Task Manager is integrated with Collaboration, so at any point in a dialog, new tasks can be created and communicated. It’s all about trying to make the team more efficient and helping with greater communication.

Analysis

Provide three sales people, or three sales managers for that matter, with an identical opportunity summary and it’s likely they will provide three different forecast values. This is because forecasting has long been a subjective exercise. Even with formal thresholds to limit how an opportunity can be forecast, ultimately, a sales leader will make their best guess based on personal experience. Being too conservative means the corporation’s operating plan may be unnecessarily scaled back. Being too optimistic can lead to dire consequences when results fail to meet expectations.

MySalesApp has been designed to bring greater granularity in to the process of opportunity risk assessment. More than that, risk management with opportunities is a closed loop process – which means that risks are proactively identified from very early in the sales cycle so that they can “managed out”. This process is directly linked to the coaching process that is embedded in the operating model of MySalesApp.

CRM

MySalesApp is not a replacement for a CRM system. It has been designed to complement existing systems and add value by extending CRM’s planning and management capabilities into a practical day to day tactical execution solution. Many companies have invested heavily in customizing their CRM systems and yet still struggle to see a return.

MySalesApp makes collaboration easy, provides automatic updating of CRM tasks, notes, contacts and opportunities. It manages tasks created within the app or CRM using common terminology. It provides relevant and in-context data to a wider audience, including those without CRM access. And it manages sales specific assets in a more intuitive way, in context of the sales stage, industry, job role, and solution type. With MySalesApp, users are presented with the most appropriate data, all of the time.

 

News

Following the news about a customer is good sales practice. It demonstrates professionalism and helps develop insight. Using news services to feed news is nothing new, the better sales people do this already. We just make it easier to capture news and deliver it with context to the relevant opportunities. Users can select multiple search terms for each opportunity and MySalesApp will gather the information you want and store it ready for review within the opportunity dashboard for all to see. And since we have integrated Tasks with News, when you see something you need someone to take action on, just click and create a task. Easy.

Multi-Tenant / Multi-Instance

As a true cloud solution, MySalesApp uses a single code base to support multiple customers. Each customer can create multiple instances – for example different divisions or regions may use different sales processes, manage different knowledge elements and marketing assets. But executives may still want to see activities across the enterprise. MySalesApp has been designed to allow this type of flexibility.

Cloud

MySalesApp works both on and offline. The mobile and web apps operate using a common cloud platform. In the office, or on the road, users have tools to progress their opportunities. On-line of offline, our customers benefit from the performance scaling of the platform – globally.

 

And being a solution designed for global deployment, MySalesApp is designed to support multiple languages, concurrently.

Secure

We selected Amazon AWS as our backend hosting platform for two reasons. Scale-ability and security. We use 256bit encryption to protect login access and all customer’s data. And as our customer’s needs grow, the resources dedicated to them grows with them. So performance is always there when you need it.

For our largest customers, a behind the firewall solution is also available.

Open

Through extensive use of API’s MySalesApp synchronizes with CRM systems and news sources. We will also be delivering API’s to allow customers to directly access their cloud data and build their own custom queries.
